Growing Information

Sow under glass indoors on the surface of pots or trays of good quality, moist seed compost. Press gently into the surface or cover lightly with vermiculite and germinate at approximately 21–25°C (70–77°F). Cover the tray with a sheet of glass or plastic to conserve moisture but do not exclude light as this assists germination. Transfer resulting seedlings into small pots and grow on. Acclimatise to outside conditions before planting out 45cm (18") apart. Alternatively, sow directly outside from May.
